The Port of San Francisco’s Waterfront Resilience Program (WRP) is a long-term effort to protect the city’s shoreline from sea level rise, flooding, and seismic risk. D&A led strategic community engagement to ensure that neighborhoods most vulnerable to climate impacts—and small, local businesses along the waterfront—had a real voice in shaping this legacy initiative.
Through public meetings, Local Business Enterprises (LBE) listening sessions, and multilingual educational materials, we built trust, expanded access to project opportunities, and translated complex sea level rise and flood protection planning into community-informed strategies.
