“Owie vs. Oh No” Simplifies Care Navigation for Alameda County Residents

Message Strategy, Creative Development, Multilingual Media Campaign, Community Outreach, Transit Advertising

D&A partnered with AC Health to tackle a key confusion point for residents—when to go to urgent care vs. the emergency room. Using insight from community partners, we created the “Owie vs. Oh No” campaign: an accessible, multilingual effort that empowered families, seniors, and low-income residents to make the right healthcare choice.

The creative paired clear visuals with a memorable hook and was deployed through bus shelters, radio, print, and digital media in English, Spanish, Tagalog, and Cantonese.

“Owie or Oh No?” — The answer could change how Alameda County residents access care. Culturally resonant creative helps residents choose between urgent care and emergency services.
