Founder and Principal
Darolyn is an award-winning communications professional with more than 35 years of communications excellence to her credit. She oversees day-to-day management of the firm and serves as lead strategist for all agency accounts. Darolyn is a well-respected leader, collaborator and is outcome driven. Highly accomplished, visionary, creative and strategic communications professional with extensive experience in public participation advancing social impact and multicultural inclusion initiatives through an integrated communications approach. A proven advocate, advisor and thought-leader who is known for breakthrough communication and public engagement strategies that drive social change, enhance brand reputation, and strengthen connections with stakeholders. She has an impeccable track record of developing strategic, equity-first communications and public engagement programs for complex planning and environmental and construction projects, civil works infrastructure, waste/wastewater, and community revitalization programs. Since 1997, D&A has been a trusted partner and strategic communications advisor to SFPUC on more than 300 assignments and projects, including its most impactful—the Sewer System Improvement Program and the Clean Water System Improvement Program, launching CleanPowerSF, and establishing the Community Benefits Policy.
