Since 2016, D&A has served as SFO’s agency of record, providing integrated communications strategy, paid media planning and execution, creative development, video production, and in-terminal activation. Recently, D&A was engaged to execute the “Silent Disco” activation. SFO partnered with Feed.FM on a curated Bay Area artist playlist, and came to D&A to turn it into a live activation travelers would actually feel. Our challenge: build an innovative, entertaining silent disco experience that integrated the Feed.FM station, attracted in-terminal audiences, and was easy to promote across airport channels.
We designed “SanFranDisco” with QR-code headphones, multigenerational tracks, pro dancers, and SFO’s Wag Brigade to lower the barrier to join. Targeted digital ads and on-site promotion drove travelers to the dance floor, earning Gold Winner recognition at the Hermes Creative Awards 2024.
